Connor Prospero is another typical small town lifer. He hates city people, he hates intellectuals and he hates Jake Riley. Through aggression and sheer bloody-minded stubbornness he's managed to wrangle a job running the local tow shop. His best friends from school help him run the place. The tow station is really just a front for Connor and his friends to make and deal meth. The Sheriff knows about his operation, but leaves Connor alone as long as he gets a cut of their profits.
Connor at least ten years older than Shelley, but he's had an eye for her since she was a teenager. Not long after she finished high school, Connor started hanging around with her and eventually "got" her. He set her up in his place where she's been living for the past couple of years, but recently he found out she was still seeing her old boyfriend. Connor's not happy about that. They had a big argument when he first found out about it, but he made up with her by getting her a ring and asking her to marry him. Forgiveness being the greatest virtue and all that. Despite his attempt to buy her off, Connor's insecurities are getting the better of him. He's not sure whether Shelley has continued seeing Jake on the sly. He's suspicious, but he hasn't been able to prove it yet. Like most small town men takes a jaundiced view toward women's rights. He might have to teach her a thing or two if she doesn't stop.
Medim-tall, wiry and bearded. He wear Wranglers, western-style button-downs and a "Skoal" brand baseball cap when he's not in his shop coveralls. Connor's skin and teeth are just starting to look mossy, as he's been able to keep his meth habit to a minimum till recently.
